Cinnamon Walnut Syrup
- 1/4 cup Walnuts
- 3 whole Cinnamon Sticks
- 1 cup Honey
- 1 cup Water
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Oatmeal Cookie Latte
- 1/2 cup Steamed Oat Milk per serving
- 6 ounces Strongly Brewed Coffee or Espresso per serving
- 1 - 2 teaspoons Cinnamon Walnut Syrup per serving, to taste
Cinnamon Walnut Syrup
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and toast your walnuts on a baking sheet for 10 – 12 minutes, until they deepen in color. Let cool and roughly chop.
Place your toasted walnuts in a pot along with the cinnamon sticks, honey (or sugar), water and vanilla extract. Bring to a boil over medium heat and then reduce heat to low and continue to cook for 10 minutes. Let cool slightly and strain to remove walnuts and cinnamon sticks.
The syrup can be stored in the fridge for up to a week.
Oatmeal Cookie Latte
For each serving brew 6 ounces of strong coffee or espresso.
While the coffee is brewing, heat up 1/2 cup of Oat Milk (per serving) and froth using either a whisk or milk frother.
Add the coffee to a cup and stir in 1 to 2 teaspoons of Cinnamon Walnut Syrup, depending on how sweet you prefer yours.
Pour in the frothed milk and spoon the foam on top. Enjoy!
