Materials

  • Filling
  • 1/2 cup Butter softened
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 large Orange Rind, grated
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Cranberries
  • 1/4 cup Whipping Cream optional
  • Vanilla-Orange Glaze
  • 4 ounces Cream Cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup Butter softened
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Grated Orange Rind
  • 1 tablespoon Orange Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  • Mix softened butter, sugar and grated orange rind until smooth. Roll out sweet roll dough to 12″ x 18″. Spread dough evenly with orange filling and dot with fresh cranberries.
  • With the long edge facing you, roll up the dough. With a sharp knife cut the rolls into 12 equal pieces. Place in a buttered baking pan or large muffin tin and pour cream over the top. Cover and allow to raise until doubled, 30 minutes – 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Once rolls have finished raising, uncover and bake for 20 – 25 minutes until the tops are golden. Allow to cool slightly.
  • While the rolls are baking, make the glaze. Combine the softened cream cheese and butter in a medium bowl along with the powdered sugar, grated orange rind, orange juice and vanilla extract. Beat with a hand mixer until smooth. Once the rolls have cooled for a few minutes top with glaze and serve warm!
